Quilting on Wednesdays at 9 am. All are welcome.

A Bible study will be held each Wednesday at 6:30 pm at the parsonage beginning this week, Feb. 13. All are welcome.

No Sunday school or confirmation class Sunday, Feb. 17 (President’s day weekend).

Office Manager’s office will be closed Thursday and Friday this week. Sunday’s bulletins will be printed on Wednesday.

There is a sign up sheet for serving Lent suppers on the bulletin board. Ash Wednesday is March 6.

We welcome into our church family today through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, Oliver James Kalvestran, son of Alyssa Olson and Dan Kalvestran. Oliver’s sponsors are Amy Ochsendorf, Heidi Spray and Linsey Remig.

Church council will meet following worship this morning.

Mission support offering today will go to Safe Avenues of Willmar. You may leave your donation in the half globe by the door. Thank you.

Vicar Gwen will be attending a continuing education class Thursday through Saturday this week.

“Spirit Led Innovation,” the 2019 Equipping Congregations Day, will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 in Willmar. All are welcome. See flyer on the bulletin board for details. There is also a sign up sheet.

The Crisis training event that was suppose to be held last Thursday was postponed due to the weather forecast. The new date will be posted when available.

“Hope in the Heartland.” Kviteseid will be hosting a livestream of this event on Sat., Feb. 2. Eight synods from across the Midwest will be participating at 21 local gathering sites. The workshop will run from 10 am to 4:30 pm. See your January newsletter for more details.

Midwinter Concert—An afternoon of entertainment and a benefit for the St. Martin’s Fund—will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, Montevideo, today at 2 pm. Coffee and dessert will be served. The St. Martin’s Fund is a Montevideo community supported emergency assistance fund. This event is free and open to the community.

The Milan Cancer Crusaders 2019 Relay for Life Team invites you to our Relay for Life  2019 kick off meeting, Mon., Jan. 28, 2019 at 6:00 pm, in the  Montevideo Public Library.  This is an informational meeting and everyone is invited to attend.  We will be discussing the 2019 Relay for Life to be held on Friday May 17, 2019 at the Smith Park, Montevideo, MN.  This is a community event and is open to anyone, regardless if you are on a team or not.

“Spirit Led Innovation,” the 2019 Equipping Congregations Day, will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 in Willmar. All are welcome. See flyer on the bulletin board for details. There is also a sign up sheet.

“What If?” When Crisis or Tragedy Strikes the Community and/or the Local School. Crisis Training Workshop Thursday January 24, 2019, 9 am to 12 noon at Lac qui Parle Valley High School Theater. Topics: Defining Crisis and Disaster, and Coordinating Local Response Resources. Workshop is especially for school staff, law enforcement, firefighters, ambulance members, hospital and health care workers. There is no cost to attend. CEUs available. The workshop will be presented by Steve Breitbarth and is sponsored by the Appleton Area/Milan Ministerium.

Our sympathies to family and friends of Venoie Jacobs who passed away Sunday, Jan. 6. Funeral services were held here Friday.

Mission Support offering today will go to the Swift County Food Shelf. Donations may be left in the basket by the sanctuary door.
